New rules of the Parking enforcement

Parking enforcement officers provide benefits for all the people by minimizing the congestions and improving the quality of traffic. It helps by providing benefits to cyclists, bus passengers as well as other drivers by reducing the amount of inconsiderate and illegal parking. These enforcement officers also help in improving road safety environments and take actions against the drivers of illegally parked vehicles. It also ensures better availability and turnover of disabled and short term parking spaces in urban areas allowing more people to park in those spaces.

The approach of this council is to offer priority to the local parking needs of shoppers, local traders and the residents of related areas. Parking enforcement has also set penalty charges depending on parking contraventions. The drivers who fail to obey these parking restrictions set by the enforcement officers are likely to be served with penalty charge notice. Parking restrictions include parking in the loading bays, parking on the double or the single yellow lines, overstaying for longer period in the short term parking areas and parking on those areas designated for the disabled.

Depending upon the parking contraventions parking enforcement has set different levels for the penalty charges. There are only two levels for the penalty charge one is the higher level and the other one is the lower level penalty charge. The penalty charge set for the higher level is about seventy dollars and twenty five dollars for the lower level, this penalty charge can vary depending upon parking breaches. It helps in improving the quality of traffic by taking strict actions against the drivers who disobey parking regulations.
